Employee doing routine maintenance of production equipment had a partial amputation of his left ring finger. Employee was installing a heavy-duty magnet in a hopper when he came too close to the side wall. His finger was caught between the magnet and wall, which resulted in an avulsion. Employee was treated at the scene and then transported to the hospital. To stitch his finger, the doctor had to shave his bone, which resulted in a partial amputation. |
